Cloud Engineering Specializations We Place

"Cloud engineer" covers several genuinely different jobs. Hiring the wrong one is the most common and most expensive mistake we see, so we scope the specialization before we source anyone.

  • Cloud infrastructure engineers: the people who build and run the platform itself. Networking, compute, storage, and Infrastructure as Code. Hire this profile when your problem is that the environment is fragile.

How do you hire a cloud engineer without being technical yourself?

Decide what the person will actually own before you write the job description. An engineer who will run production infrastructure is a different hire from one who will design a migration. Then get someone technical into the screening loop early, because a resume cannot tell you the difference between a candidate who has clicked around a cloud console and one who has designed multi-region failover. How long does it take to hire a cloud engineer?
